Yuly Grosman began traveling to Kenya in 2005, as CEO of an Israeli trade company focused on food and fresh-cut flower products. In Kenya, he built new trade routes for products demanded in across Europe and other Western markets. By connecting two continents, Yuly opened doors and changed the fresh cut flower industry in Kenya by introducing new standards, influencing the future of the flower ind
ustry, helping growers to choose on demand a variety of flowers and closing growing contracts for several years. In 2008, Yuly opened a branch of Israeli export company in Kenya. Visiting Africa every few months away from home, Yuly missed the food he enjoyed back home. In 2012 Yuly relocated to Kenya and opened an export trade company with partners, and his search for familiar cuisine inspired Yuly to begin producing his own foods. Yuly began making several of his favorite foods including sour cream, cottage cheese, jams, dumplings and wine. Soon, friends and their friends began to requesting these homemade foods, leading Yuly to launch initial operations and sales of dumplings and dairy products in 2015. Yet, Yuly spent much of his time on roles in export trade and security, and so he had less time to grow his food business. In 2022, Yuly decided to start production and distribution of two products that were popular and missing from the local market: Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream. The top chefs across Nairobi have sampled Yuly’s cottage cheese and sour cream, giving it a raving 9 out of 10 score!
