Young people need more than opportunities. They need guidance, networks and mentors who can help them take the next step.
On 31 July 2026, UNICEF Kenya and Standard Chartered Kenya hosted the Youth Mentorship Workshop on Employability and Entrepreneurship in Nairobi, bringing together young people seeking career opportunities and young entrepreneurs already building ventures and initiatives.
Through interactive mentorship sessions, participants engaged in conversations on career development, job readiness, digital skills, financial literacy, business growth, leadership and networking.
Participants shared that the mentorship, peer learning and networking gave them motivation, practical insights and greater confidence to pursue employment, grow their businesses and take the next step in their journey.
When young people are supported with the right skills, guidance and networks, they can unlock opportunities and shape a better future for themselves and their communities.
