BUTA SAN Farms was established to see this vision into a reality, and we have been committed to breeding the finest pigs that produces the safest, freshest, and most delicious pork in the country.
Breeding
With many imported breeds in the country, BUTA SAN has developed a special breed that is highly suitable for the conditions in Cambodia. Our BUTA SAN pigs are sired from Duroc of superior cross-breeds with Large White, Landrace, and Berkshire.
The BUTA SAN sows are prolific, and are good mothers. They produce pigs that are superior in growth rate, and their performance in Cambodian conditions is better than any of the white breeds. This breed is meaty, and of superior carcass quality.
Traceability System
In compliance with international standards, BUTA SAN observes a Traceability System which tracks and records the livestock from birth to date of slaughter. This system assures the consumers that the pork they will be served are in top quality, and was given proper care and sustenance.
All-in, All-out System (AIAO)
BUTA SAN observes the AIAO system which reduces disease transmission, and improves management. The pigs at the farm are closely matched according to age, weight, production stage, and condition. When groups move forward, the facility is completely emptied for sanitation, which reduces the risk of disease transmission, and operational costs.
Multi-Site Pig Production System
Alongside with the AIAO System, BUTA SAN observes the Multi-Site Pig Production System, whereas groups of pigs are segregated into different facilities, during different periods of production such as breeding and fattening.
Observing this system entails that each site maintains its own level of sanitation. This system also serves a vital role in risk reduction of disease transmission, and increases production efficiency.
Biosecurity
BUTA SAN observes strict rules on biosecurity. People other than the production staff and employees are prohibited from entering the production facilities. Other animals, pests, and foreign creatures are possible carriers of pathogens that include bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi.
Original Feeds
Our pigs are fattened based on our original and strict organic program. We ensure that our livestock are not given growth hormones and antibiotics.
In line with our core values of maintaining good animal welfare and producing quality pork, given the fact that pigs are highly susceptible to stress, temperature change, and other trivial things that could affect pigs’ health, and the quality of meat it can provide, BUTA SAN practices an ancient Japanese method of infusing Fermented Liquid, along with its strict organic program.
BUTA SAN pigs are happy pigs with their regular and calculated dose of beer and wine. We ensure that we only bring organic and stress-free pork to your dining tables.
Pigs raised on sushi
Our pigs are the luxury of the world, eating sushi. Vinegar and seaweed make meat that is not odorous. Pigs that ate rice has many oleic acid, it is sweet and tasty. Also, few linoleic acid so fat is not easily oxidized.
Distribution
At BUTA SAN, we value customer satisfaction and retention, that’s why we have dedicated ourselves in ensuring that all of our meat products are fresh, from the production facility, to our display stores.
We have created a system of processing, packaging, and distribution, where we assure that within 90 minutes after the meat processing, our top-grade pork are delivered and displayed in our BUTA SAN store for our valued customers to enjoy.
