[HOST STORY] GG133 Host Jin-hwa Jeong
In Paju, a city near the Korean border, Host Jin-hwa Jeong is building a “Peace Village” where organic farming, peace, and community come together.
Through WWOOF KOREA, people from around the world gather to work, share stories, exchange cultures, and experience a more sustainable way of life.
From farming and cooking together to visiting places such as Imjingak and Odusan Unification Observatory, WWOOFers can experience nature, community, and the meaning of peace in Paju.

오스트리아에서 온 이네스(Innes Klinger)와 까미(Camille Bardes)가 노아의숲에서 우핑을 함께했습니다.

두 사람은 텃밭에서 토마토를 수확하고, 커다란 연잎을 손질하며 다양한 한국 음식을 만드는 시간도 가졌습니다. 낯선 농장 일과 새로운 문화를 즐겁게 배우고, 매 순간 적극적으로 참여하는 모습이 인상적이었습니다. 😊

함께 일하고 음식을 나누며 자연스럽게 서로의 문화와 이야기를 알아갈 수 있었습니다. 밝은 에너지와 성실한 태도로 노아의숲에 즐거운 추억을 남겨준 아주 훌륭한 우퍼들이었습니다. 🌿

Innes Klinger and Camille Bardes from Austria joined us for a WWOOFing experience at Noah’s Forest.

They harvested tomatoes from the garden, prepared large lotus leaves, and spent time making Korean food together. It was wonderful to see them approach unfamiliar farm work and a new culture with such enthusiasm and curiosity. 😊

Through working, cooking, and sharing meals, we naturally learned more about one another’s cultures and stories. Innes and Camille were excellent WWOOFers who brought bright energy and many happy memories to Noah’s Forest. 🌿
We wish them many more wonderful moments on their journey!

오늘 오후, 독일과 프랑스 출신의 두 우퍼가 속리산국립공원 안에 있는 생명누리농원에 도착했습니다. 두 사람은 앞으로 일주일 동안 우리 부부와 생활하며 농장 일을 배우게 됩니다.

무더운 날씨에 먼 길을 찾아온 두 사람을 위해 아내가 시원한 수박화채를 준비했습니다. 화채를 나눠 먹으며 이야기를 나누니 금세 가까워질 수 있었습니다. 두 사람 모두 한국어와 영어로 소통할 수 있어 첫 만남부터 편안했습니다. 😊

저녁에는 정원의 잡초를 뽑고 개복숭아 열매를 따며 첫 작업을 함께했습니다. 땀이 쉴 새 없이 흘렀지만, 즐겁게 이야기하며 일을 잘 마무리했습니다. 작업 후에는 아내가 준비한 한국 음식을 맛있게 나눠 먹었습니다.

내일부터는 텃밭과 대추밭의 풀을 관리할 예정입니다. 두 사람이 이번 우핑을 통해 한국의 농촌 생활과 생명농업을 이해하고, 따뜻한 추억을 만들어 가기를 기대합니다. 🌿
This afternoon, two WWOOFers from Germany and France arrived at Saengmyeong Nuri Farm in Songnisan National Park. They will spend the next week living, working, and learning with us.

After their long journey in the summer heat, my wife welcomed them with refreshing watermelon punch. We shared stories and quickly became comfortable with one another. Both speak some Korean and communicate well in English. 😊

In the evening, we pulled weeds from the garden and gathered wild peaches together. Although the weather had us sweating constantly, we enjoyed talking and completed our first task with smiles. Afterward, we shared a delicious Korean dinner prepared by my wife.

Starting tomorrow, we will work in the vegetable garden and jujube orchard. We hope this experience helps them learn about Korean rural life and ecological farming while creating many warm memories. 🌿

조용현 군은 사료 주기, 축사 청소, 동물 돌보기 등 다양한 목장 일을 함께하며 늘 일손이 부족한 목장에 큰 도움을 주고 있습니다. 특히 성실하고 책임감 있는 태도로 맡은 일을 꾸준히 해내며, 목장의 하루하루에 든든한 힘이 되어주고 있습니다.

함께 땀 흘리며 만들어가는 시간 속에서 서로에게 의미 있는 경험을 나누고 있어 더욱 감사한 마음입니다.

We would like to introduce Yonghyun Jo, a WWOOFer visiting our ranch for the first time this year.

He has been a great help with various ranch tasks, including feeding the animals, cleaning the barns, and taking care of livestock. With his sincere and responsible attitude, he consistently supports the daily work on the farm, making a meaningful difference where extra hands are always needed.

We are truly grateful for the time and effort he shares with us, and for the meaningful experiences we are building together.
