BTD is proud to be working on the 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗡𝗥𝗪) 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 along the coastal area of 𝗝𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁, funded by 𝗚𝗜𝗭 / 𝗕𝗠𝗭 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗠𝗟𝗪𝗘.

🔹 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀
Water 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 in the area exceed 𝟰𝟮%. This project aims to reduce leaks, improve network efficiency, and secure a more reliable water supply for residents.

🔹 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀
• Drilling 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 near Madiq Spring
• Installing a 𝟳 𝗸𝗺 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 (𝗗𝗡𝟱𝟬𝟬)
• Upgrading water distribution networks
• Creating 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 (𝗗𝗠𝗔𝘀)
• Using 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 systems to monitor flow, pressure, and leaks

🔹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
• Better water service and fewer interruptions
• Lower energy use through gravity-fed supply
• Reduced water losses and operating costs
• Planning for future demand (2035 & 2050)
• Full compliance with environmental and social standards, including ESIA and public consultations

📢 As part of the Scoping / ESIA process, a 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 was held on January 8, 2026, with the presence of 𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, Members of 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, the 𝗤𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗾𝗮𝗺 of Jbeil, the General Manager of 𝗕𝗠𝗟𝗪𝗘 𝗘𝗻𝗴: 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗵 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗵, 𝗚𝗜𝗭 representatives, engineers, 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, and interested people from the area.
