The Yamazaki Limited Edition 2017 builds upon the reputation established by previous Limited Edition releases. In 2014 Suntory debuted the Limited Edition line-up, producing a new release each year. The bottles have grown in popularity as both a collectable and a great whisky to enjoy. Suntory has been sparse on details regarding the 2017 release. The Dalmore Castle Leod 1995 Single Malt Scotch is a homage to the fearless Clan Mackenzie (whose history is entwined with The Dalmore distillery). This 1995 vintage was the second in a series crafted by Master Distiller Richard Paterson. It honours the Clan, whose seat is still to this day at Castle Leod, and is found only 25 miles from The Dalmore Distillery. Initially matured in American white oak and Spanish sherry wood, it then spends a final 18 months in barriques from a legendary first cru classe Bordeaux Chateau.
