The F1B Cavapoo is a popular designer hybrid dog prized for its affectionate personality, high intelligence, and exceptionally allergy-friendly coat.
In the world of doodle breeding, the "F1B" label means this dog is a "backcross"—typically created by breeding a first-generation (F1) Cavapoo back to a purebred Poodle. This makes the genetic makeup roughly 75% Poodle and 25% Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Fun Facts About F1B Cavapoos
• 🧸 The Ultimate "Teddy Bears": Thanks to the heavy Poodle influence mixed with the Cavalier's soft features, F1B Cavapoos naturally grow "furnishings" (the scientific term for the adorable mustache and eyebrows that give them a poofy teddy bear face).
• 🧬 The Allergy Superheroes: Because they are 75% Poodle, F1B Cavapoos are considered the most hypoallergenic and lowest-shedding of all the Cavapoo generations.
• 🧠 Off-the-Charts Brainpower: Poodles are ranked as the second-smartest dog breed in the world. With such a heavy dose of Poodle DNA, F1B Cavapoos are exceptionally quick learners, highly trainable, and thrive on puzzle toys and games.

• 🔋 The World's Fastest Couch Potatoes: While they inherit a bit more energy and playfulness from the Poodle side than the standard F1 cross, owners note that they have a hilarious "on/off" switch. They can explode into 10 minutes of intense living room zoomies and immediately go right back to sleeping.
• 🧳 Perfect Travel Buddies: Because they are usually bred from Toy or Miniature Poodles, adult F1Bs typically weigh a portable 10 to 20 pounds. This compact size makes them ideal for apartment living and small enough to fit inside airline-approved under-seat carriers.
• 🎨 A Kaleidoscope of Colors: F1B coats are full of genetic surprises. They can be found in solid or combinations of apricot, ruby red, cream, chocolate, black, tan, and even multi-colored "parti" or tricolor patterns.
