From Saint Lucia to Dubai 🇱🇨✈️🇦🇪

Another milestone for Baron Foods! We’re proud to have completed our third export shipment to Dubai, UAE, continuing to grow the presence of St. Lucian-made products in international markets.

Our journey into the UAE began following our participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and has required adapting to a new market; from meeting regulatory and import requirements to introducing Arabic translations on our product labels.

We extend a special thank you to Export Saint Lucia for their continued support, including assistance in securing the necessary regulatory certification through the Ministry of Health and contributing towards freight costs to help offset the high cost of shipping from St. Lucia and facilitate continued trade with the UAE market.

Three shipments down, and we’re looking forward to what comes next. 🌍

This week, Baron Foods was proud to participate in the Export Saint Lucia Trade Mission to the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Trade missions like these are important opportunities to strengthen relationships, explore new business partnerships, and demonstrate the quality and competitiveness of Saint Lucian manufacturing.

🌟Historic Day for Baron Group of Companies!

On August 21 2025, we officially launched and broke ground on our new Corporate Headquarters and Manufacturing Complex in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia! 🚧

This milestone represents not just expansion, but our continued commitment to innovation, job creation, and investing in Saint Lucia’s future, a multi-building complex that will house:

- Baron Foods (St.Lucia) Ltd.
- Creative Snacks by Baron (quality snack foods)
- Soft & Tender by Baron (quality paper products)
- Baron Distribution Services Ltd.
- The Baron Group Headquarters & Clubhouse
- The Baron Experience Centre – featuring interactive tours, duty free retail, digital storytelling, live cooking demos, and personalized products.

Construction is estimated at 20 months and will employ 50–75 local workers during the build phase and 150 permanent staff at full capacity, creating tremendous opportunities for the people of Vieux Fort and Saint Lucia as a whole.

A heartfelt thank you to the Government of Saint Lucia, our partners, our team, loyal customers, and the community for sharing in this momentous occasion. Together, we are shaping the next chapter of the Baron legacy.

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UK, ENGLAND, GREAT BRITAIN.

Some people and indeed all over the world, including well travelled, often confuse England, United Kingdom and Great Britain.

England is a country just like Nigeria and its capital is London just like Abuja is the capital of Nigeria.

Great Britain is a collection of 3 countries which came together as one country and has its capital as London. Those 3 countries are:

1. England,
2. Scotland
3. Wales.

When you include Northern Ireland to these 3 countries, they become United Kingdom (Union of four nations)

1. England,
2. Scotland,
3. Wales, and
4. Northern Ireland.

That is why it is referred to as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Collectively, the four are taken as one country. And when this is the case, London is its capital.

Note however that these four individual nations all have their own respective capitals.

Accordingly, the capital of

Scotland is Edinburgh,
Wales is Cardiff;
Northern Ireland is Belfast.
England is London.

The notable expansion is further amplified by the proactive measures implemented by these support agencies, contributing significantly to the nation's economic advancement.

Join us as we jet set around the region providing support and assistance to businesses in need!

Today, we are featuring our who visited Baron Foods Limited Limited, St. Lucia, under a special project called The Technology Extension Services (TES), to provide support and technological assistance to businesses in an effort to help them bridge the technological gap and achieve an increased level of operational efficiency, innovation, productivity, competitiveness and profitability.

TES is designed to promote the adoption and effective use of new technologies in firms through activities such as training, capacity building, and technical assistance.

The project is funded and managed by Compete Caribbean Partnership Facility. The Compete Caribbean Partnership Facility (CCPF) is a Private Sector Development Program that delivers Innovative and practical solutions that stimulate Economic Growth, increase Productivity and foster Innovation and Competitiveness. CCPF is a partnership between the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), and the Government of Canada.
