The BBHA Monthly Meeting for April was successfully held on the 30th April 2026 at the beautiful NH Bentota Ceysands Resort.

The gathering brought together members for an engaging and productive session, where key updates, industry insights, and future plans were discussed. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections, exchange ideas, and reaffirm our shared commitment to growth and collaboration.

A special thank you to all members who participated and contributed to making the meeting a success, as well as to the team at NH Bentota Ceysands Resort for their warm hospitality and excellent arrangements.

We are pleased to share the successful completion of a specialized training program conducted for the BBHA hotels Housekeeping teams, focusing on Laundry Operations, Linen Maintenance, and the Selection of Textile-Related Products.

The session was expertly delivered by Dr. Ujitha Gunasekara from Celcius Bedding, whose insights and industry expertise provided valuable knowledge to enhance operational standards and best practices.

This informative program was held on 6th April 2026 at Cinnamon Bey Beruwala, bringing together housekeeping professionals committed to maintaining excellence in hospitality service.

A sincere thank you to Dr. Gunasekara for sharing his expertise, and to all participants for their enthusiastic engagement.

We are proud to share the successful completion of a meaningful CSR initiative carried out by BBHA in partnership with Thaala Bentota Resort.

Understanding the challenges faced by students, parents, and staff of Dharmapala School, Bentota, especially during rainy weather, we came together to address a critical need. The entrance road to the school often became muddy and difficult to access, creating daily obstacles for the school community.

Through this project, we were able to concrete pave the entrance road, ensuring safe, reliable, and all-weather access to the school. This improvement will not only enhance daily convenience but also contribute to a better learning environment for the students.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and contributed to making this initiative a success. Together, we can continue to create positive and lasting impacts in our communities.

The BBHA Monthly Meeting & Fellowship for March was successfully held on 26th March 2026 at the beautiful Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa. 🌊✨

It was an engaging and productive gathering where members came together to discuss key matters, share insights, and strengthen our collective vision for the future. The meeting provided a valuable platform for collaboration, open dialogue, and meaningful connections.

Following the meeting, the fellowship session created a warm and relaxed atmosphere for members to network, reconnect, and enjoy each other’s company. The stunning setting & dinner added to the spirit of camaraderie and made the evening truly memorable.

We are delighted to share the successful completion of a meaningful joint CSR initiative by the Bentota Beruwela Hoteliers Association together with Barberyn Reef Ayurveda Resort.

With a shared commitment to supporting our local community, this project focused on building a safe and joyful playground for the students of Moragalla Junior School. The new playground creates a space where children can play, grow, and thrive—encouraging both physical activity and social development in a nurturing environment.

This initiative reflects what can be achieved when organizations come together with a common purpose. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and resources to make this project a reality.

Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces is the greatest reward, and we remain committed to continuing efforts that uplift and empower our community.

✨ BBHA Monthly Meeting & Fellowship – February 2026 ✨

The BBHA Monthly Meeting and Fellowship was successfully held on 18th February 2026 at the beautiful Earl’s Regent Beruwala.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the ocean, the evening brought together members for a productive meeting followed by a warm and engaging fellowship. Important matters were discussed, ideas were shared, and plans for the months ahead were strengthened through collaboration and unity.

Beyond the formal proceedings, the fellowship provided a wonderful opportunity for members to connect, network, and strengthen friendships in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The hospitality and ambiance at Earl’s Reef truly added to the success of the event.

The BBHA 01st Meeting & Fellowship for 2026 was successfully held on the 20th of January at the beautiful Occidental Eden, Beruwela, bringing together our members for an evening of unity, collaboration, and meaningful conversations 🤝✨

The gathering was made even more special as we took a moment to bid a heartfelt farewell to our dear brother Kavishka, General Manager – Ekho Surf. His dedication, leadership, and friendship have left a lasting impact on all of us. We thank him for his invaluable contribution and wish him continued success and excellence in all his future endeavors 🌊

Also we would like to congratulate Mr.Rohan Gamage for being appointed as Cluster General Manager for Occidental Eden & Thaala Bentota & Mr.Wim Fagel for being appointed as cluster General manager for NH Bentota and NH Colombo.

A special note of appreciation to the Occidental Eden team and staff for their warm hospitality, excellent service, and for hosting us so wonderfully, making the evening truly memorable.

Here’s to new beginnings, stronger bonds, and a promising year ahead for BBHA.

✨ BBHA Monthly Meeting – December 2025 ✨

The BBHA Monthly Meeting was successfully held on 15th December 2025 at the beautiful Sheraton Kosgoda, with the participation of our valued members.

The meeting served as an important forum to discuss current industry developments, address key challenges, and share insights aimed at strengthening the hospitality sector. The active engagement and collaboration among members truly reflected the spirit and unity of BBHA.

🌧️ Supporting 100 Families Affected by Cyclone Ditwah Floods – Kaduwela 🌧️

As an Immediate relief initiative we distributed 1500 lunch packets to the areas of Bandaragama & Kaduwela and afterwards On the 6th of December 2025, the Bentota Breuwala Hoteliers Association ( BBHA ) extended a helping hand to families in the Kaduwela area who were affected by the devastating Cyclone Ditwah floods. As part of our continued commitment to community welfare, we donated cleaning materials to 100 impacted families, helping them restore cleanliness, safety, and dignity in their homes during this difficult time.

We are truly grateful to everyone who contributed, volunteered, and supported this compassionate initiative. Your kindness and solidarity remind us how powerful a united community can be. 💙

Let us continue to stand together and bring hope to those rebuilding their lives.

On the 4th of November 2025, the BBHA family came together at the beautiful Cinnamon Bentota Beach to celebrate a truly special milestone — 25 remarkable years of the Bentota Beruwala Hoteliers Association. It was an evening filled with music, joy, friendship, and gratitude.

This unforgettable night would not have been possible without the unwavering support of so many people over the years.
