Fakhri Foods Pvt Ltd was established in 2010 with the aim of developing the land in Bandarawale for food cultivation and processing. As the barren land was tilled, the landscape became resplendent with trees anticipating oranges, apples, jackfruits and pomegranates. The surrounding terraces and valleys of Bandarawale possess a rich and long history of gushing springs and water flowing in abundance from the terraces. This spearheaded the idea of making use of this pure water, filtering it and bottling it to deliver quality bottled water products and meeting our customers’ needs in Sri Lanka. Hence, by early 2015 the company began to create a master plan for a water bottling plant and consequently the Ceylon Jalaya natural, still-water brand was born. Fakhri Foods vies to be a world class producer of high quality, natural, still-water products in Sri Lanka. The changes that have occurred in the recent years in Sri Lanka have seen emerging development particularly for tourists and Fakhri Foods is now geared to meet the demands through modern bottle design, unique small bottle design for the first time in Sri Lanka, new type of packaging and new pack sizes. The next step will be the development of sparkling water in glass bottles and naturally flavoured mineral water.
Fakhri Foods’ foray into water products is well-planned and all their endeavors are focused to satisfy the emerging demands of the Sri Lankan market. To meet the demand for increased consumption of bottled water, the company is in preparation to create an effective and servicing distribution network across Sri Lanka.
