This is where it all started. My love for baking and cooking.
These books will belong in a museum soon, the blue monitor’s exercise book (☺️) being older than the other.
Maybe I was 10 or 11 years old. My first successful recipe was Yellow Potato Curry followed by Crispy Cookies out of an old American magazine from my American aunt Aline.
Grateful for my Aunt Lorna who was the most fabulous cook but not-a-good baker 🙊 who instilled these critical and pedantic tastebuds that I still possess.

Hope no one’s sick of hearing my old stories! Yay or Nay!

We completed 20 years and we celebrated in our small lil way at Sits, and it is truly fitting that I tell the whole world that I’m truly blessed with The Best.
My Sits Family.
Going back in time, I can’t recall the exact date and how this really happened to me, being this quiet finance person, who was articled (is that even a word, these days) at Ernst and Young, with all my bosses and supervisors having to put up with my sort-of indifference to accountancy 😂 those who know, know 😂
Nevertheless I studied lots. I passed lots of exams. They weren’t in cake making however. I’ll tell you about it later some day. I struggled with my 4 years at E&Y, but made some of my strongest bonds of love there. I learnt to cope with deadlines and stress and people and learnt independence, humility and responsibility and respect.
I’m glad for so many things in my life. Big things. Things could’ve turned out quite differently. Thank you My Lord 🙏🏼

We can’t believe we survived August!

Whilst it was super exhilarating and exciting, I think we’re all pretty happy to be back in our regular zone, doing the mundane…

What started off as one of my whimsy ideas, giving our cakes silly names, somehow those names stick!
You know that this one’s the Nozzled Border cake right!

We also do a couple of versions of the Nozzled Border cakes. Some have narrow borders, some have chocolates, some stars, yet others have big swirls but they all gotta have sprinkles, yeah!!!!

So what d’you think of sprinkles on your cakes?
