Why I’m Voting for Hirunika and Why She Deserves a Seat in Parliament
It takes one voice, one person, to create the momentum that turns a wave into a revolution. Just as icons like Rosa Parks and Elizabeth Stanton became symbols of change, standing up for equal rights and suffrage, we need voices of courage today.
My vote is for Hirunika because she had the audacity to challenge the Rajapaksas—and as a nation, we won. She became the catalyst for change, the voice that shattered the silence when many others stayed silent.
For a strong, fearless, progressive, and responsible opposition, this is her moment to lead. It’s time for her to continue being that voice for the people, representing us in Parliament.
