By the company, Sri Lankan sailors were identified for job opportunities on the ships sent to our company.
Accordingly, the selection of different types of sailors required for the service of two ships was done.
Thereafter on the connivance of the Agent in India, 10 sailors were airlifted to Bombay on 09.07.2024 and two seailors to Madras on 10.07.2024.
It was mentioned that 12 sailors will be joined to the two ships within 03 days.
Therefore, after collecting USD 15500 as the agent's fee, the sailors were stranded in the hotels without being referred to the service.
At the time of the incident, a representative associated with our company was sent to the Bombay Hotel. As the three-day visa period expired, the 10 sailors, along with the two sailors at the hotel in Madras, were taken to the Mahabodhi Temple.
There, the 12 sailors were presented to the Indian High Commissioner (Deputy Commissioner) in Madras, as per the instructions of the Mahobodhi chief monk and on our reference.
About 21 days after getting the exit visa, our representative along with the 12 sailors arrived in Sri Lanka on 31.07.2024.
Our company will bear all expenses including hotels and establishments where the 12 sailors stayed with our representative, meals, visa fees, lawyer fees, air tickets and travel fees within India. We received various help and support from sailors and their families.
Our company's reputation has been damaged because of those fraudulent, deceitful, deceitful, dishonest agents in India.
As things turned out, the business of our company was suspended for a few days. We are happy to inform you that business activities have started again on 05.09.2024 at the new location.
