——————————

US S 10000 per carat 💸

Red Beryl, also called Bixbite, is rare and comes from Thomas Range and Wah Wah Mountains in Utah, in USA and Mexico. It occurs on Rhyolite, where it crystallized under low pressure and high temperature, along fractures or cavities and porous areas of volcanic rhyolite magma. Large gem quality specimens are very rarely found, but very few smaller cut stones produced. Red beryl was first discovered in 1904 by Maynard Bixby, a mineralogist. This gemstone has different names, red beryl, red Emerald and bixbite. The Confusion about the name started in 1912, and Dr A Eppler named this stone as bixbite to honor of its discoverer.
