The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) is hosting a delegation of senior public sector officials from the Kingdom of Lesotho for a week-long executive leadership training programme aimed at strengthening leadership, governance, and public sector performance.
The programme is the result of ongoing collaboration between GIMPA and the Government of Lesotho, reflecting a shared commitment to building institutional capacity, improving service delivery, and driving meaningful public sector transformation across Africa.
Among the distinguished delegates is the Honourable Minister of Public Service, Moeketsi Mot'soane, whose participation underscores the Government of Lesotho's dedication to investing in effective leadership, good governance, and the continuous development of the country's public service for the benefit of all Basotho.

Before the National Elections, the Honourable Minister of Public Service, representing the Mafeteng #58 Constituency, made a clear commitment to the people of Matheneng. He promised to improve access to clean and reliable water by constructing water storage facilities and installing public taps to serve the village.
Today, we are witnessing that promise becoming a reality. The construction of the water storage tanks and the installation of water infrastructure are well underway. These developments are a clear demonstration that leadership is about fulfilling commitments and delivering meaningful services to the people.
Once completed, this project will provide the residents of Matheneng with easier access to safe water, improve health and sanitation, reduce the burden of travelling long distances to fetch water, and enhance the quality of life for every household.
The progress we see today reflects the Honourable Minister's dedication to serving the people of Mafeteng #58 and ensuring that development reaches every community. This project is not just about infrastructure...it is about restoring hope, dignity, and improving the daily lives of the people of Matheneng.

The rehabilitation of the Rasebala (Skanska) Dam is a clear demonstration of leadership that delivers on its promises. Before the National Elections, the Honourable Minister of Public Service, proudly representing the people of Mafeteng Constituency #58, committed in his manifesto to ensuring that the dam would be rehabilitated to improve water security for the Mafeteng community.
Today, that commitment is becoming a reality. The reconstruction and dredging of the dam is now underway, marking a significant step towards restoring a reliable water supply and improving the livelihoods of the people of Mafeteng. The official launch of the Ramarothole Phase II 50MW Solar Generation Project marked another significant milestone in Lesotho's commitment to sustainable energy and economic development.
Among the distinguished guests was the Honourable Minister of Public Service, who joined government leaders, development partners, and members of the community in witnessing the launch of this transformative project. His presence highlighted the government's united commitment to advancing strategic national infrastructure that will benefit Basotho.
Notably, the Honourable Minister is a proud son of Mafeteng District, making his participation at this landmark event in Ha-Ramarothole especially meaningful. His attendance reflects continued support for development initiatives that create opportunities, stimulate local economic growth, and improve the lives of communities in Mafeteng and across Lesotho.

Tomorrow marks a significant milestone in Lesotho's renewable energy journey as the Government officially launches Phase II (50MW) of the 80MW Ramarothole Solar Generation Project in Ha-Ramarothole, Mafeteng. The sod-turning ceremony will bring together the Right Honourable Prime Minister, government officials, development partners, Community leaders, and the local community to celebrate the commencement of one of the country's largest clean energy projects. The initiative reflects Lesotho's commitment to expanding sustainable electricity generation, strengthening energy security, and supporting economic growth under the theme, "Promoting Sustainable Electricity Generation"
