Yesterday, our CEO Ms Mamello H Makhobotloane had the honour of attending the Lesotho National Quality Awards Ceremony held at Avani Lesotho, after MHM FIELD FRESH entered earlier this year under Category 2: Product of the Year (Large / Small to Medium Enterprises).

While we did not take the top prize this time, we are incredibly proud to have received a Certificate of Recognition. Considering how competitive these awards were, this recognition means a lot to us and reaffirms us that our work is being seen and acknowledged.

As a 100% Black woman and youth-owned company, this recognition stands as proof that youth owned businesses can compete, be seen, and be taken seriously at national level.

This recognition motivates us to work even harder, to invest more in our quality management systems, certifications, and continuous improvement, as we build a strong, trusted, and quality-driven brand.

As we approach the end of the year, we have taken time to reflect on our journey and the significant milestones that have shaped the growth of MHM Field Fresh in 2025. We are grateful for each opportunity, recognition, and growth that has strengthened our business this year.

Our year began with a major breakthrough. After applying for the CAFI programme last year, we were shortlisted in January and later announced as part of the Top 10 entrepreneurs selected for the CAFI Third Cohort. In February, our incubation officially commenced under the ESO Development Solutions.
This programme offered us mentorship, intensive training, and business development support. Through CAFI, we also received seed capital, which enabled us to acquire additional equipment and relocate to a more suitable production space-a move that significantly improved our operational efficiency. The incubation journey concluded in August, marking a meaningful step in our organisational growth and readiness for scale.

Following this milestone, we were honoured to receive industry recognition. We were nominated for the Farmer’s Pitso Awards, under the food processing category and we won 1st prize under this category🏆(Re tlisitse award habo Linare tse tala tsa Mamosa le Molapo🤍💚). This award affirmed our commitment to local value-addition, food security and supporting small holder farmers.

Additionally, we received three nominations at the Maseru Business Club National Small Business Awards -Women Entrepreneur of the Year, Farming Business of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Although we did not secure a win this time, being recognised across several categories is, in itself a meaningful achievement that highlights the visibility and impact of our work.

Each milestone we reached this year -from incubation, capacity building, new product development and equipment upgrades to industry recognition and award nominations -reflects the dedication of our team and the trust placed in our company.

We extend our sincere appreciation to every customer, partner, supporter, and stakeholder who continues to walk this journey with us. We look forward to carrying this momentum into the new year with even greater purpose and determination.
