On Moea Homestead, we use a thatching grass. It grows in large quantities on the Homestead and in the surrounding villages. This grass is ideal for mulching, roofing, and so much more.

This type of grass protects the soil from harsh winter conditions, enables the soil to retain its moisture, and as the bottom layer breaks down, it feeds the soil nutrients - all to make healthy soil 🌱
