“How did you come up with the idea to create your own gin?” 🌿
It’s THE question I get asked the most. So here’s the whole story 👇
2020: I’m 25, working in financial audit… and deep down, a little voice keeps telling me my place is somewhere else. The urge to build something of my own just won’t leave me. 🔥
So I turn to what truly moves me. I’d been a gin lover for years: discovering new bottles, guessing the botanicals, breaking down the aromas… 🍸 Plants and the art of distillation had always fascinated me (back then, more on the cosmetics side). So I decided to train in distillation with a master distiller in France to dig deeper.
At the very same time, my parents were preparing their retirement in Provence, on our family land with its botanical garden full of local plants — ones we were already harvesting to make hydrosols. 💜 And it hit me: what if we harvested OUR plants to distill OUR gin?
That’s how a Provence-inspired gin was born: 11 distilled botanicals, including lavender, thyme and rosemary picked on our own land. ☀️
Ever since, every year we gather as a family for the harvest. That’s the real luxury — this time spent together, truly “Entre Nous.” 🤍
