Arizona, it's been a hell of a time. We would not exist without the good folk of the Sonora Desert coming back for pie every week—be you Midwesterners wanting a taste of home or just pie-loving Phoenicians wanting a taste of fresh fruit and happiness. Whoever you were, if you were a regular at our blue door picking up for the holidays, at the farmer's market oe even at rodeos YOU made our pies 'the bomb'.
Some weeks we were baking for 80 hours a week supplying 3-4 markets. We partnered with some bad people at the beginning and almost crashed our business. But then we did hundreds of pies for the holidays. We got to meet thousands of people every month, all over the state. Baking pies became more than a job—it was being able to unlock memories for people, bringing their family together on a weekend. One pie at a time.
This is the best job in the world. It's not a job anymore for us. It's a gift we got to bake for all of you and our friends—and yes, we would consider all of our Arizona 'Pie People' our friends.
So the day has come—it's on to new adventures up north in Utah and while we'll be focusing on mastering new pies and on building our family, Arizona will always have a giant gooey berry slice of our hearts.
Farewell for now, our Arizona. We'll be back ❤️🌵
