I was honoured to join and present Austrian wines to an incredible group of sommeliers from Moldova - the kind of evening where every glass sparked a conversation, and every note got the attention it deserved. Bonus: blind tasting at the end!

Yesterday’s Summer Wine Event at Kliemstein Restaurant was everything we hoped for and more.

Guests enjoyed an exciting selection of wines from Austria, Italy and Germany, discovering unique grape varieties, boutique wineries, and the stories behind every bottle. Combined with excellent cuisine and a relaxed summer atmosphere, the evening became a true celebration of wine and friendship.

A special thank you goes to the fantastic team at Kliemstein Restaurant Linz for their hospitality and partnership.

We are already looking forward to our next wine tasting and can’t wait to welcome both familiar and new wine lovers.

Moldova's wine exports dropped 17% in volume during the first half of 2026 — but value only fell 4%. Why? Producers are betting big on bottled, branded product instead of bulk.

🥂 Divin & brandy exports jumped +32% in value
🍷 Bottled still wine prices rose +10%
🇪🇺 Europe stayed the #1 market at 62% of value
🇷🇴 Romania remained the top buyer, paying a premium for Moldovan bottles
