The production of Madagascar vanilla beans mainly takes place in the Sava region, in which the major producing districts are Sambava Antalaha, Vohemar, and Andapa. It is estimated that there are approximately 7,000 vanilla farmers in the Sava region who produce 70-80% of all Bourbon-Madagascar vanilla. Texas Exportporium is especially careful about the product quality and credentials therefore we decided to minimize the middlemen’s role in the supply chain and started to purchase all products from farmers and export them directly.
