Forbes has just spotlighted “The World’s Best Agricole Rums, According To The Beverage Testing Institute” and we are proud to see our own BCI Maisons Depaz and Dillon from Martinique right at the top:
🏆 Depaz L’Âme de la Montagne — Platinum, 96/100
🏆Dillon Rhum Blanc Agricole 55° — Platinum, 95/100
🥇 Dillon Rhum Blanc Agricole 40° — Gold, 92/100

Distilled from pure pressed sugarcane juice from Martinique’s volcanic terroir, under strict AOC rules, these are spirits that capture a true sense of place.

At BCI, our mission is simple: bring amazing terroir-driven wines and spirits of genuine character to the American consumers.

Huge thanks to our partners at La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, and to all the bars, restaurants, hotels and retailers across the United States who pour these rhums with conviction. Please reach out to our team at [email protected] for more information. Merci. Santé.

We talk a lot about terroir. But what does it actually change in the glass?

At , it starts on the slopes of Montagne Pelée in Martinique. Volcanic soils shape the cane at its source, bringing a natural richness, a softer fruit profile, and that subtle mineral tension you immediately recognize in the glass.

For years, the work has gone deeper. Plot by plot. Harvest by harvest. Studying climate variation, soil composition, and topography, not to complicate, but to better understand what the land gives, and how to express it with precision.

The result is unmistakable: Greater sugar concentration, elevated aromatic intensity, pronounced fruit and floral notes, and a distinctive signature of heavier esters that defines both structure and elegance.

This is not marketing. This is what terroir tastes like.

At BCI, with our Depaz Rhum Agricole AOC Martinique collection, we are proud to be “Leading the Terroir Revolution”.

Volcanic soils. Parcel-level precision. Singular rhums.

We had an outstanding educational seminar yesterday in Nashville in partnership with the United States Bartenders’ Guild, featuring the one and only Sother Teague from Amor y Amargo.

It was a truly engaging session where we explored the history of bitters and amari, the influence of major monastic orders from 910 to today, and the craft and precision behind cocktails built around bitters.

We also had the opportunity to highlight the heritage and savoir-faire behind some of our amazing including Suze, Boomsma, St-Raphaël, and Gabriel Boudier.

A big thank you to Chris and Rhonda at the USBG for their partnership, to Benjamin and the entire team at Tall Tales for their outstanding hospitality and to our TN distribution partners at Best Brands for their support.

Always a pleasure to visit with the team at Agency of Record in NYC.

Proud to have our Antique Bitter featured on the core menu since day one with the “Opting In” cocktail.

During this visit, Beau crafted an exceptional variation on the spot: was simple, elegant, and highly replicable for on-premise teams:

The Antique Raspberry Spagliato
– Antique
– Fresh muddled raspberries
– Prosecco

A perfect example of how versatile Antique can be behind the bar: delivering both creativity and ease of ex*****on..

We had a fantastic time at the trade show of our distributor partner Prime Wine & Spirits in Georgia earlier this week, sharing the story of our iconic Suze and new Suze Tonic Zero non alc RTD. Suze was first introduced in 1889, the same year the Eiffel Tower was built! We craft Suze from the roots of wild gentians, which take 30 years to mature, then hand harvest, macerate for 2 years, and micro distill. Santé!

A big thank you to the entire team at The Dog House in New Orleans. It was a real pleasure spending time at this wonderful spot in NOLA.

If you’re in town, this is definitely a place to visit & take the time to enjoy one of their outstanding cocktails:
• “Pup’s First Lemon” with Suze
• “Pup Circumstance” with Green Melon
• “Tornjak Negroni” with
• Or shots like the “Tennis Ball” with Gabriel Boudier Green Melon and .distilleerderij Cloosterbitter

All absolutely delicious.

Looking forward to being back very soon.

🇺🇸🇫🇷 HAPPY NATIONAL GIN & TONIC DAY | CELEBRATING TERROIR IN A GLASS!

Today, we raise a glass to one of the world’s most iconic cocktails: the Gin & Tonic.

But not all gins are created equal.

At BCI, we are proud to represent Normindia Gin, crafted at the historic Distillerie Coquerel in Normandy, a house renowned for its mastery of apples and terroir-driven spirits.

Normindia is not just a gin. It is a precision-crafted expression of nature and technique:

• 15 fresh botanicals, each individually infused for optimal extraction
• Signature bitter orange peels from Spain & Italy for brightness and structure
• Hand-prepared apples from Coquerel’s own orchards, dried and macerated to bring depth and roundness
• Juniper at its core but elevated

Each is macerated for 12 days, before being distilled in a small 17-plate column still capturing only the purest aromatic “heart” of the spirit.

The result? A gin of remarkable intensity and elegance.

Think of it as the “Grower Champagne” of gin: artisanal, terroir-driven, and uncompromising.
