♻️ BCRS Malta continues to deliver strong recycling results!

Despite more beverage containers entering the market, BCRS Malta maintained and improved its collection performance:

✅ 10,965 tonnes of material collected for recycling
✅ 84.5% overall collection rate by weight (up from 82.8% in 2024)

Strong collection rates were recorded across all main material categories:
🟢 PET: 86.7%
🟡 Aluminium cans: 86.0%
🔵 Glass: 82.7%

These results reflect the continued commitment of consumers, businesses and partners across Malta and Gozo in returning eligible containers through the BCRS system.

To make recycling even more accessible, BCRS has continued expanding its return network, improving RVM support and introducing services that make returning containers easier for more communities.

Every container returned makes a difference. Together, we are helping reduce waste, increase recycling and build a cleaner Malta 🌱


♻️ BCRS Malta tkompli twassal riżultati b’saħħithom fir-riċiklaġġ!

Minkejja li aktar kontenituri tax-xorb daħlu fis-suq, BCRS Malta żammet u tejbet il-prestazzjoni tal-ġbir tagħha:

✅ 10,965 tunnellata ta’ materjal miġbur għar-riċiklaġġ
✅ Rata ġenerali ta’ ġbir skont il-piż ta’ 84.5% (żieda minn 82.8% fl-2024)

Rati b’saħħithom ta’ ġbir ġew irreġistrati fil-kategoriji ewlenin kollha ta’ materjali:
🟢 PET: 86.7%
🟡 Bottijiet tal-aluminju: 86.0%
🔵 Ħġieġ: 82.7%

Dawn ir-riżultati jirriflettu l-impenn kontinwu tal-konsumaturi, in-negozji u l-imsieħba madwar Malta u Għawdex fir-ritorn ta’ kontenituri eliġibbli permezz tal-iskema BCRS.

Biex ir-riċiklaġġ ikun aktar aċċessibbli, BCRS kompliet tespandi n-netwerk tagħha, ittejjeb l-appoġġ tal-RVMs u tintroduċi servizzi li jagħmlu r-ritorn tal-kontenituri aktar faċli għal komunitajiet.

If you're attending the concert this Sunday, 2nd August, keep an eye out for BCRS and help us keep the event clean and sustainable.

You'll find us in the food court area, where you can:

♻️ Return your eligible beverage containers at our Mobile Reverse Vending Machine and receive your vouchers in return for every eligible container.
🗑️ Or, if you're in a hurry, make use of our dedicated recycling bins for:
🟢 PET bottles
🔵 Aluminium cans

Whether you choose to deposit your containers or simply recycle in the bins provided, every container returned helps make a difference.
