IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS
We would like to sincerely apologise to our customers regarding a serious situation involving a former member of staff.
Since her employment was terminated, more than twenty customers have independently contacted us reporting that they were charged significantly more than the actual value of their purchases.
We are extremely sorry that we did not identify these irregularities sooner. Our customers trust us every day, and we deeply regret that this may have happened in our store.
During our subsequent review, we also discovered serious irregularities involving money and products belonging to the store. At this stage, we do not know the full extent of our own financial loss.
We have preserved CCTV footage covering two days which we believe contains important evidence, and the matter has been reported to the Malta Police. Any relevant material in our possession will be provided to the authorities.
We sincerely apologise to every customer who may have been affected. We should have detected the problem sooner, and we are taking steps to prevent anything similar from happening again.
