π₯ Exclusive footage from MFF Ltd β Atlantic Bluefin Tuna spawning naturally in our cages. ππ
Witnessing spontaneous spawning is a remarkable sight β and a powerful indicator of animal health and welfare. When tuna reproduce naturally in a captive environment, it tells us that their nutrition, care, and surroundings are meeting the highest standards. Millions of fertilised eggs, released naturally into the surrounding sea!
But our commitment goes further. MFF Ltd maintains captive broodstock in collaboration with local and international research partners, where eggs are carefully collected to advance larval rearing techniques and closed-cycle aquaculture. This research is a critical step toward a future where Atlantic Bluefin Tuna can be produced more sustainably β easing pressure on wild populations and contributing to long-term species conservation.
Responsible aquaculture and a thriving ocean aren't in conflict. They go hand in hand. π
