Bakkaljaw | Bacalhau com natas is a traditional Portuguese 🇵🇹 dish made from salt cod, onions and potatoes in a creamy bechamel sauce. | Soak the salted cod for 24 hours and change water every 8 hours. Boil the cod in milk with some pepper and bayleaves. Remove the bones from the meat. Fry some potatoes and keep aside. From onion and garlic and add the fish, then add some flour and create a creamy sauce using the milk used to boil the fish. Place all into an oven dish and mix in potatoes. Add a cup of cream, sprinkle nutmeg and cover in cheese. bake till golden brown. Serve with sprinkles of parsley.
