La Maison Corson

La Maison Corson Rooted in tradition, sharing warmth in every cup since 1886.

La Maison Corson began its journey over a century ago in Curepipe, cultivating tea with passion and care. From the first Assam Hybrid seeds brought by Jules Corson in 1878 to the introduction of the beloved vanilla tea in 1919, each generation has carried forward a legacy of craftsmanship and quality. Today, La Maison Corson brings together three brands: Corson Tea, Théière des Îles, and Planty; united by the same dedication to flavor and a timeless passion for tea and infusions.

Some mornings never really change. ❤️

Across generations and across Mauritius, tea has always found its place in our mornings.

And for 140 years, we've been grateful to be part of them.

La Maison Corson. Since 1886.

As we continue celebrating the 140 years of La Maison Corson, this episode follows tea on the first part of its journey. 🍃

It begins in the fields at first light, and passes through the hands that transform it in the factory.

And at the same moment, in our offices, the kettle goes on. Cups passed around, a few minutes shared before the day begins.

From their hands to your cup.

La Maison Corson. 140 years of Mauritian life. ❤️

140 years ago, it all began in these fields.

After Jules Corson introduced the first Assam Hybrid Tea seeds to Mauritius, he planted the foundation of La Maison Corson.

Through time, through change, thought every hand that learnt the craft and every family that made tea part of their home, this legacy endured.

We all know this feeling: the smell of tea reaching you before the first sip does.

In Mauritian households, it's a smell that holds memory; a grandmother's kitchen, a sunday morning with the ones you love.
