She’s been ordering from Mogato since our very beginning. Over the years, I’ve made her birthdays, her engagement and her wedding cake — and did the same journey with her sister too! ❤️

Then came little Ivy…
1st birthday cake ✔️
2nd birthday cakes ✔️

Safe to say, Ivy is officially our newest client. 😂💕

Watching our clients’ lives change through the celebrations they trust us with is one of the most beautiful parts of what we do.

The designs change.
The occasions change.
The family grows.
But somehow, Mogato is still there on the table. 🥰
8 years of trust, from one generation of celebration to the next.

At this point, when you’ve made cakes for so many chapters of the same family’s life, “client” doesn’t quite cover it anymore.

They become family… and apparently they also provide us with the next generation of customers. 😂🤍🙏🏼

Every now and then, we go back through the messages you send us after your celebrations.

And honestly, some of them stop us in our tracks. 🥹

“Everyone loved it.”

“My son loved his cake.”

“As usual, perfectly perfect.”

“It's my 4th order with you.”

“I order my son's birthday cake from you each year.”

Small sentences to someone else perhaps…

but very big ones to us. ❤️

Because you don't just order a cake from Mogato.

You trust us with your child's birthday.
A surprise.
A milestone.
A family celebration.
A memory that will end up in someone's photo album.

And some of you have trusted us to do that again… and again… and again.

That means more to us than we probably ever say.

Beautiful is wonderful.

Cake: “Ahhh… zoli letemps sa!” 😎

ONE MINUTE LATER…

Back balcony: 🌧️⛈️
Cake: “Ayo mama… ki pe arivé la?!” 👁️👄👁️

Same house.
Same morning.
ONE MINUTE APART. 😂

And people wonder why cake bakers in Mauritius have trust issues with the weather.

Sun? Nou pa trust. ☀️
Clouds? Nou pa trust. ☁️
Weather app? Encore moins. 😂

At this point, nou pa get météo…

Nou get front balcony, nou get back balcony… ek nou allume aircon. ❄️🎂😂

Because in Mauritius, you don't need to travel to experience different weather.

We've been a little quiet on here lately… 👀

Meanwhile, behind the scenes:

🏴‍☠️ Pirates were sailing.
⚖️ Lawyers were celebrating.
🐷 Farm animals were causing trouble.
👑 Queens were having birthdays.
🎀 And there was definitely no shortage of cake.
🦁 And Madagascar went completely WILD. 🌴🦓🦒

When Nirvair's family asked for a Leo the Truck cake, I didn't search for another cake to copy.

Instead, I watched the cartoon to understand Leo, Scoop and the little world they live in.

Every figurine was sculpted by hand from scratch.

Every colour, every expression and every tiny detail was carefully created to bring those characters to life.

That's what "custom-made" means at Mogato.

We don't just decorate cakes.

Every custom cake has a story before it's ever placed on the celebration table.

Days of designing, sculpting, smoothing, adjusting... and finally, those last tiny details that bring everything to life.

The finished cake is what everyone sees but for me the process is what makes it unforgettable.

Today, I received a phone call I'll never forget. ❤️

My phone rang.

Client: "Hi... do you remember Sofya's cake?"

For a split second, my heart sank.

Me: "Yes, of course I do."

There was a pause.
Then she said,

"This is the third birthday cake you've made for Sofya, since her very first birthday."

I was silently wondering if something had gone wrong.

Instead, I heard her voice break.

"Sending you a message didn't feel right... I had to call you."

"When I saw the cake, I didn't just see a cake."

"I saw your passion."

"I saw your love."

"I saw your hard work."

"I wanted to thank you personally for your magical hands. May God bless you."

Then she said something that brought tears to my eyes.

"As parents, we always want to give our children the very best. But today... when Sofya saw her cake... I couldn't hold back my tears."

"She just stood there... admiring it."I have photos of her reaction, and every time I look at them, I cry all over again."

By then...

I was crying too.

I smiled through my tears and replied,

"I spent two days creating Stitch alone."

"I remade him five times because I wanted him to look exactly right."

"Thank you for always trusting Mogato with Sofya's birthdays and for giving me the opportunity to keep pushing my creativity further."

At Mogato, we don't simply make cakes.
We create something that becomes part of a family's memories.

Knowing that something made with our own hands could bring so much joy to a little girl—and so much emotion to her mother—is a reminder of why we chose this path.
