Baking was never really my thing probably because I never had the patience it requires. For the longest time, I was only confident with no-bake desserts, while savory dishes were always my comfort zone. But over the past few years, I’ve developed a real interest in baking, slowly testing both my skills and my patience. It all started during lockdown. From tres leches cakes to making bread and buns completely from scratch, the journey has been surprisingly rewarding.

Today, I finally made the blueberry lemon cake I’ve been wanting to try for years. It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, but it tasted so good—honestly, probably the most delicious cake I’ve ever baked. 🫐 🍰 😋
Hopefully, this year I’ll finally master the perfect cream cheese frosting 🙂‍↕️

Cooking has always been a form of therapy for me. The savory side of cooking has always felt like home, my comfort zone. Being alone in the kitchen, making whatever I’ve been craving, helps distract me from the anxious thoughts constantly running through my mind.
