I stopped telling people they are lucky when something good come their way. Instead, I say to them that they deserve to have it, especially when I am aware of how difficult it was for them to have it, or to be on the better situation they are in right now. Most of them didn't get it in just a snap—it took them years and tears to finally have a grasp on it.
So before getting envious of what people have and blurting out how lucky they are to have things, may we not disregard the process they went through prior to being on that certain moment—may we not discredit their hardwork and patience for trusting both the time and themselves to give it to them.
For you who are enjoying the fruits of your blood and sweat, you deserve it. Your sacrifices are paying off—embrace and enjoy the moment.
