Domwe Island is a pristine, uninhabited island, which is part of the Lake Malawi National Park - a World Heritage site. Kayak Africa operates the only camp on the island, according to strict Eco-tourism principles, with minimal environmental impact - and maximum comfort for guests! There is a range of accommodation options: either stay in a fully-equipped walk-in tent on a deck under a thatched ro
of, or camp on a similar deck in your own tent (of hire one from us.) Domwe island camp is 5kms offshore from Cape Maclear, and one has the choice of kayaking there, or taking the comfortable boat if you're feeling more relaxed! Domwe is self-catering, so bring your own food, but if you hate cooking, hire a chef for the day - and he will cook you three magnificent meals a day. The whole island can be booked for 10 or more guests at a very reasonable rate. Or just come on your own and chill! There is only one camp on Domwe, run by Kayak Africa. A wonderful place to get away from it all!
