'Mexican Notes' is finished, and about to be published.
Now, I think I'll look at those notes again that I made on my first trip and work on the sequel "On Returning".

Ever had that sinking feeling when the book file that you have been working on for some months, and you only opened 3 days ago, throws up an error message that you've never had before?
"Publisher can not open the file".

There has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Working on this at the moment "Mexican Notes".
It's based on the notebook that I recently found with notes I made of my first trip to Mexico via Texas.
The title kind of lends a bit of a nod to one of my favourite authors, Bill Bryson.

It's nice when the curtain falls and ideas seem to follow and bring joy.

My recent sojourns into writing articles for publications at the moment seem to be a collection of unrelated ideas that eventually get connected when my brain has a sudden a-ha moment.
This usually comes after some tea and toast, mostly.
For some reason, writer's block is a bit of an affliction some days.

One of those irritations of people’s posts and comments on Facebook.
A sure fire way to annoy people is to correct them. When you do they call you a grammar na*i when they write they’re instead of their.
Ho hum said Zebedee.

I don’t really get into politics, but there was a report that amused me because of the sheer stupidity of a decision.
In Florida, the Governor there, Ron de Santis, who seems like your average idiot, enacted into law that ALL new books for schools must go through a committee who will then deem if the language is appropriate for students. In other words it shouldn’t mention the wrong kind of race or gender that, in effect, he doesn’t like.
The local Rotary Clubs of Florida banded together to donate one type of book to all schools and this book is now one that must be vetted.
And what is the book? The dictionary.
