Reponer carbono al suelo, donde pertenece, y fuera de la atmósfera, donde causa estragos, es una de las pocas soluciones de ganar-ganar para problemas globales (así como locales) y es una de las razones principales para cultivar cafe dentro del bosque.

Restoring carbon into the soil, where it belongs, and out of the atmosphere, where it is causing havoc, is one of the few win-win solutions to global (as well as local) problems and is one of the underlying reasons for cultivating coffee forests.

We as forest keepers, grow high quality coffee under wild forest in order to protect the old growth native forest, this means the water sources that get to the coast of Oaxaca and a number of endemic species e.g. Jaguars, pumas, tapirs and many more are kept alive via a dignified coffee quality.

Its mesmerizing how relationships can end up, and how certain elements of economic value (specialty coffee) may end up protecting other elements that unfortunately may not have such a market value but are a priceless biological cornerstone for surviving...

Some coffees can be used as a tool to protect our future and create a much more meaningful cup of coffee, a coffee that helps secure existence, on the path towards a much more healthy ecological economic system, where a live tree may be valued more than a dead tree.....

Una leyenda mexicana cuenta que la Virgen María secó los pañales del niño Jesús en un arbusto de esta planta, de donde le viene su nombre.
