We are diving into the heart of Oaxaca with a spirit that is truly legendary.

Prolijo Mezcal Blanco has officially earned the Teeqlife Approved seal. In Oaxacan folklore, Prolijo is the guardian spirit of mezcal. Legend says that after crafting a batch, the cellar doors were left open overnight so Prolijo could enter and taste the spirit. In return, he would pour his essence into the liquid, giving whoever drank it the gift of telling mesmerizing stories.

This artisanal Blanco is made from 100% Espadin agave, hand harvested at full maturity. The production follows Zapotec traditions dating back to 1897. The agave hearts are roasted in underground stone ovens, crushed by a traditional volcanic stone tahona, and fermented naturally with wild yeast in wooden tanks. It is then double distilled in copper alembic stills to ensure a clean yet complex profile.

On the nose, you will find a vibrant bouquet of woody, citrusy, and floral notes. The palate is an explosion of flavor, starting with a rich earthiness and sweet agave, followed by a mild, balanced smokiness and hints of soft minerals. It finishes exceptionally smooth with a unique touch of spice and pepper, making it a perfect sipper or a bold foundation for your favorite mezcalita.
