For the past 2 weeks, ever since MFT posted about my Sri Petaling branch… my sisters have been non-stop 😅
They said they’ve been working until “lat kuat” — which basically means not just tired… but deeply, spiritually exhausted.
Every day feels like a marathon… except there’s no finish line, just more orders waiting.
Then somehow, I think the universe heard them (or maybe the complaints got a bit too loud 🤭)… and suddenly Master Chris Leong appeared like the hero in a drama.
Calm, composed, and right on time to rescue them.
A true blessing… because honestly, another few days like this, and I think my sisters might have officially gone on strike already 😂

A proud moment for us as our executive chef, 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐰, is currently featured as a Guest Chef at 𝐄𝐐 𝐊𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐫.

Our Chef Eric’s journey began in Switzerland, where he first learned discipline, precision and how true kitchen standards function in international hotels at a global level. After years of that rhythm, he chose a different path; he 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐎 with his wife, Han-Ni, in 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟖. There, he brought quality meat and honest cooking into a neighbourhood space where creativity had room to breathe, and where families could simply gather, eat well and feel at home.

Now, for a short season, that journey comes 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞. He's now back in a 5-star kitchen at EQKL, albeit for 7-days. We already miss him at ABANICO, and we are so very proud of his achievements.

Maybe that’s what 𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 give you... not just skill, but calm confidence, joy in the craft and true passion for this unrelenting industry and tough people, that never really leaves the flame.

This is our very first 𝑳𝒂𝒑 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒈 and 𝒀𝒖𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒈.
We have worked on our German sausages.
Italian sausages.
Beef sausages. Lamb sausages.

So… it only felt right that one day, Han wanted to make Chinese sausages too!

Made with 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐤, crafted by hand in 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬, and fine-tuned with our Chef Eric Siew to the flavours we 80s kids grew up with - the texture (not plastic-y), that gentle sweetness, the savoury depth... and that familiar boozy wine-galore aroma when it hits the palette.

We worked with a 𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 who still kept the tedious 𝐨𝐥𝐝-𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐬, and we kept the packaging simple so the value stays where it belongs - in the sausage itself.

Yes we are a little late, a little behind time, but good things CAN’T be rushed. So this year 2026, we’re exceptionally happy with the final product, bringing one treasured flavour closer to home!
