A year ago, if you had asked me where I’d see my family in the future, I probably wouldn’t have imagined we’d leave Singapore and come back to my hometown, JB.
Looking back now, it was one of the biggest decisions we’ve ever made.
People often assume we moved because it was cheaper.
That wasn’t our reason.
We moved because we wanted to give our children something we felt was becoming harder to find, a childhood.
Not just a good education, but a joyful one.
Children only get one childhood.
We wanted ours to come home with muddy shoes, scraped knees, stories from the playground, and memories that weren’t made inside a classroom.
Those years are precious, and they pass by far too quickly.
Coming back to JB gave our children more space to grow, not just physically, but emotionally too.
Watching them become more curious, more confident, and more carefree reminds us every day why we made this choice.
Losing her changed me forever.
It made me realise how fragile life really is.
We spend so much time waiting for the “right time” but sometimes, that time never comes.
For years, my hub and I dreamed of creating something that reflected who we are and what we love.
When my mum passed, we stopped telling ourself “maybe one day.”
We decided that if we were going to build our dream, it had to be now.
That’s how Drool began.
Not just as a dessert brand, but as a daily reminder of everything we’ve learned.
Life is unpredictable.
Childhood is fleeting.
Dreams shouldn’t wait.
Life is short, add a little sweetness. 🤍
