Ah Neh Canteen (ANC) is a brunch concept stall in kopitiam that serves fresh breakfast food that are usually served in fancy cafes. Ram the founder believes that a good quality breakfast gives a good start to everyone’s day and therefore made it affordable for all to enjoy starting from the 4 ringgit only “Thick Butter Toast”. Using premium ingredients like salted butter (not margarine),
custom made bread from local bakery, made in-house chantilly cream using vanilla beans, for those who like it sweet should try the “Coconut Toast” sprinkled with crispy toasted coconut, or Ram’s personal favourite “Nutty Pisang Toast” topped with warm caramelised banana with salted peanut butter and walnut. For those who loves moist, silky fluffy eggs which are scrambled fresh per order, you should try the popular “Mushroom Scrambled Egg Toast”, “Ham Egg Toast” or “Sausage Egg Toast” or simply the “Scrambled Eggs Toast”. Ram also added his own Asian twist to the “Sambal Toast” with ikan bills using his in-house made sambal. For those who are undecided OR wants to try everything, do order the “Ah Neh Canteen ALL-IN” which includes chicken sausage, chicken ham, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato and not forgetting the scrambled eggs on the thick toast with a slab of REAL salted butter! Ah Neh Canteen is started by Ram, a Malaysian with more than 18 years under his belt working in established restaurants in Singapore like Kotuwa (Michelin Guide) , Pollen (Gardens by the Bay) and Canale Patisserie (Les Amis Group). His experience of managing restaurants enabled him to anticipate customers’ needs and tastebuds. Though not a chef, Ram loves to cook in his free time and feeding his friends. Thus gaining confidence in his culinary skills and encouragement to open his very own humble food stall in Kluang Johor at the end of 2022. Usually in a Malaysia coffeeshop setting, a brown guy is always addressed as “Anneh” such as “Anneh satu kopi!” Is often cheery, friendly and approachable which ANC is all about. About Ram
