🚨 Scammer Alert! Please be careful. 🚨

Yesterday, I received a call from someone claiming to be from TNB. He said my electricity bill was overdue and that he was on the way to cut off my electricity.

I told him I had already paid my bill and even opened the TNB app to check. Everything showed as paid. But he kept insisting that the amount I saw was only the “current bill” and not the “total outstanding amount.”

He then threatened that he was going to disconnect my electricity immediately and said I could make the payment afterwards.

To test him, I asked him which address he was referring to. We have two locations—our shop and our production unit. He confidently gave the address insisted the outstanding bill was for our production unit. But after checking a few times then he told me another address which the place TNB account name is not under us.

That’s when I became suspicious.

He had contacted me through WhatsApp, but it wasn’t even the phone number I registered with TNB. After I hung up, he kept calling me repeatedly.

Instead of panicking, I called TNB directly using their official customer service number.

✅ TNB confirmed that all my bills were fully paid.
✅ They told me it was a scam.
✅ They advised me to block and ignore the caller.

Please don’t panic if you receive a similar call. Always verify directly with TNB through their official channels. Don’t make any payments or share any personal information with anyone claiming to be from TNB over the phone.
