Since the 1960s, Saimah Satar has steamed her famous delicious fruit cake made exclusively for her close family members using the most expensive butter Golden Butter Churn. We have been getting questions on daily basis whether we do classes.

We also have staff who works for a while just to get the recipes and decide to open their own. 😒

So maybe it’s time.

Because maybe it’s time for us to pivot to social enterprises. (We are still learning on this).

Because if we did succeed on this social enterprise, it’s a sign that we are returning to our main purpose of Baitun Classic.

Baitun’s First Human Library

Our event was supposed to end at 12PM.

Little did we know, we’d still be there at 3PM.

What started as a Human Library session with a single mum became one of the most genuine conversations we’ve had. We laughed, we cried, and somehow did both at the same time.

Our story reminded us that strength isn’t always loud—sometimes it’s simply choosing to keep going. We even found ourselves talking about Syed Saddiq and how he elevated the single mum status. How weak legislation in Malaysia when it comes to women status in marriage. We talked about the needs of a MP to represent this issue in parliament.

Three hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Some stories don’t just stay with you—they change the way you see the world.

Thank you everyone for coming and sharing REAL stories. I love it! Btw, ready for next one?

Simple words that made our day

Our brownies never made any debut. Customers prefer our kuih over our brownies. But coz i’m a big fan of brownies, I did it the Baitun way. Rich, nutty and i glazed with caramel!

Lately, someone hyped our brownies and it became a bestseller (which never happened before) last week. Thanks for getting our brownies!
