Cantik macam pelangi tapi ini telur paling bahaya

Pernah tak anda pecahkan telur, tiba-tiba nampak putih telur tu berkilau-kilau warna hijau, pink, atau ada efek 'pelangi' (iridescent)?

Jangan terpesona. Itu bukan telur kayangan. Itu tanda telur tu dah dihuni oleh bakteria Pseudomonas.

Kenapa dia berwarna-warni?
Bakteria Pseudomonas (terutamanya P. aeruginosa) menghasilkan pigmen khas (Pyoverdine & Pyocyanin) yang bersifat 'fluorescent'. Bila kena cahaya, dia akan nampak bersinar-sinar atau bertukar warna.

Adakah bahaya?
SANGAT BAHAYA.
Bakteria ini bukan kuman calang-calang.
1. Ia boleh menyebabkan keracunan makanan yang teruk (muntah & cirit-birit).
2. Dalam kes yang serius, jika bakteria ini masuk ke dalam darah, ia boleh menyebabkan jangkitan kuman yang susah dirawat sebab bakteria ni pandai lawan antibiotik (Antibiotic Resistant).

Apa nak buat kalau jumpa telur macam ni?
Jangan hidu (bau dia biasanya masam/busuk buah).
Jangan cuba basuh.
Jangan buang part yang warna tu je.

BUANG SATU TELUR TU TERUS.
Dan pastikan anda cuci kuali atau mangkuk yang kena telur tu dengan sabun dan air panas untuk matikan kuman.

Jangan sayang 50 sen, melayang nyawa nanti.

"Pesticide Poisoning."

A complaint about a bedbug infestation ended in tragedy. A young Chinese tourist, identified as Miss Y, was found dead in her room, and at least ten people were hospitalized in the ICU following a mysterious poisoning at the Clandestino Hostel in Bali. The tragedy unfolded days after the place had been fumigated for a bedbug outbreak. The victim's friend, Leila Li, who survived, claims her doctor confirmed "pesticide poisoning."

Box Jellyfish BUKAN Ubur Ubur Biasa

Box jellyfish ialah antara hidupan laut paling berbisa di dunia. Ubur -ubur biasa biasanya cuma menyebabkan pedih, gatal atau ruam ringan.
Box jellyfish p**a boleh menyebabkan sakit melampau, sesak nafas, renjatan jantung dan boleh membawa maut dalam beberapa minit.

Racun box jellyfish terdiri daripada campuran toksin neuro, toksin kardiotoksik, dan toksin dermatonekrotik. Gabungan ini membuatkan ia antara racun paling kuat dalam dunia marin.

Kesan racun Box Jellyfish dalam badan manusia

• Neurotoxin menyerang saraf dan menyebabkan kesakitan yang sangat kuat serta kekejangan.

• Cardiotoxin boleh menyebabkan jantung berhenti dalam beberapa minit.

• Dermonecrotic toxin merosakkan tisu dan kulit, menyebabkan garisan seperti terbakar.

Racun ini dilepaskan melalui nematocyst, iaitu sel kecil berbentuk jarum mikro pada sesungut yang menembusi kulit sebaik sahaja tersentuh.

2. Kebanyakan jellyfish terapung ikut arus.
Box jellyfish boleh berenang dengan kawalan sendiri menggunakan pergerakan berdenyut dan boleh mencapai kelajuan sehingga 4 knot.

3.Ia ada 24 mata yang disusun dalam kelompok.
Ubur ubur biasa tidak mempunyai sistem penglihatan yang kompleks.

4. Box jellyfish berbentuk kiub dan hampir lutsinar, sangat sukar dilihat. Ubur-ubur biasa lebih bulat dan lebih mudah nampak.

5. Sesungut yang sangat panjang dan beracun
Sesungut box jellyfish boleh mencapai 3 meter, mengandungi ribuan sel racun.
Ubur ubur biasa mempunyai sesungut yang kurang berbahaya.

Adakah cuka membantu untuk rawatan?

Cuka berfungsi menyahaktifkan sel racun pada sesungut yang masih melekat di kulit. Ini menghalang lebih banyak racun daripada dilepaskan ke dalam badan. Sebab itu banyak garis panduan antarabangsa sarankan tuang cuka selama sekurang-kurangnya 30 saat di kawasan sengatan sebelum buat apa-apa yang lain.

Tapi penting untuk tahu, Apa cuka tidak boleh buat

• Cuka tidak menghilangkan sakit
• Cuka tidak mengeluarkan racun yang sudah masuk ke dalam badan
• Cuka tidak menghentikan kesan pada jantung

Jadi

Cuka membantu, tetapi untuk rawatan menyelamatkan nyawa perlu datang segera ke hospital

Rawatan segera seperti sokongan pernafasan, pemantauan jantung dan antivenom diperlukan untuk kes berat. Masa adalah faktor paling kritikal.

Jangan guna air tawar, air paip, ais atau urin, kerana ia boleh menyebabkan lebih banyak racun dilepaskan.
