• Workers don’t need to touch the dustbin lid with dirty or clean hands.
• Reduces the risk of transferring bacteria, food particles, or waste between surfaces.

✅ 2. Supports Food Safety Practices
• Helps comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
• Minimizes the risk of contaminating food during disposal of waste.

✅ 3. Encourages Proper Waste Disposal
• Easy to use — workers are more likely to throw waste properly.
• Promotes a clean and organized work environment.

🍗 Poultry vs. Beef

Poultry includes domesticated bird like chickens, turkeys, and ducks, which must always be cooked to an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F) to kill harmful bacteria like salmonella. Unlike beef, which can be safely enjoyed rare or medium-rare, poultry carries a higher risk of contamination and should never be consumed raw or undercooked.

🌡️ Safe Cooking Temperature Ensure all poultry dishes reach at least 74°C (165°F) to prevent foodborne illnesses. Use a meat thermometer to check that your poultry is safe to eat.
✅ Safe Cooking Tips:
Cook all poultry to a minimum of 74°C.
Prevent cross-contamination by using separate cutting boards and utensils for raw meats.
Always practice good kitchen hygiene.
