Get up close with amazing animals, enjoy hands-on fun at our petting zoo, and create lasting memories with family and friends. Miri Crocodile Farm is a local tourist destination located near Kuala Baram river mouth and it takes approximately 25 minutes drive from Miri City where you can enjoy the scenic coastal drive as you drive along Kuala Baram road. Miri Crocodile Farm was officialy opened by our former Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan in year 1998. As of to date, we have fully developed our 22 acres of land to accommodate all the wildlife animals and we are one of the biggest crocodile farm in Sarawak. Miri Crocodile Farm also serve as a place for educational purposes. Visitors, especially children will get to apprehend and learn efficiently while being up close with our animals to learn about their characteristics which you rarely can find it elsewhere in any Zoo these days. We have pony, goat, deer, cows, rabbits and pigeons where children are able to touch them up close and feed them as well. Apart from being just a zoo for visitors to visit, Miri Crocodile Farm also serve as a natural habitat for all the animals and helps prevents animal extinction. The farm currently accommodates approximately 1000 Estuarine crocodiles, 2 big pigeons house for hundreds of pigeons to stay, big cages for our 2 adult sun bears, various type of tropical mammals and birds such as the world most dangerous bird, Cassowary. We have also successfully breed python species for example, local python and Golden Siamese Python. Up to date, we have more than 30 off spring pythons that were breed at our farm. Some of the animals in the farm has a history where they are originally capture by the rural folks or hunters where they have been kept in the cages for sometimes. Disheartened and at the same time very fortunate that because of our establishment as a farm, they manage to contact us and send the animals over to us for our upkeep. Recently, we have also been awarded under Tourism category for Nature and Wildlife Award by Miri City Council at the Mayorโs Awards 2019 event. If you are in Miri and have some spare time, come and experience the mysterious world of Crocodiles!
