Back at one of my go-to spots for good homestyle Chinese dishes. The team is small, so expect to wait a bit for your food. I usually text ahead to pre-order so my waiting time isn’t more than 15 minutes. 😉

Still reeling over the fact that I got to meet Aunty Omakase in the flesh and that she fed me food! 🥹

She’s doing her off-menu pop-up at .kl from 20-24 May so you know where you should be this weekend. 😉

Was busy filming content when caught me off-guard, asking for my chopsticks. I blanked out for a bit before handing it over, and she proceeded to feed me a huge bite of beef shank 😆

Thank you .kl, for the experience! Can’t believe I got to meet her in person and taste her food 🥹

I've been wanting to check this place out since a friend recommended it to me and I finally went! Food is homely and they specialise in steamed and soup dishes.

Datenight with and the Celebration Premium Set (RM330 for 2 pax) at is pretty good value for money given the portion and variety.

*they serve halal Japanese A5 wagyu and ingredients are from halal supplier, but alcohol is served.

UK Loh (1st photo) vs Lou You Ji (2nd photo)

Jien and I are not fans of UK Loh as we feel the duck, char siew and siew yuk are tastier in KL. Wantan mee is average as well.

As for Lou You Ji, we like both the steamed and roasted chicken. Siew yuk, char siew and wantan mee are also decent. But the curry laksa is their Achilles' heel. 😅
