Cooking Classes, Private Dining (Advance Booking) A 3 to 4-course menu, will cost from RM160 per pax onward.

Pittolo Private Kitchen is the brainchild of Tracy Poon-Peverali and her Italian husband who shares the vision of sharing Authentic Italian Food with more foodie in Malaysia. Each time the Italian chef will design a menu according to his inspiration and the availability of ingredients, from local or Italy.

to use. We created our โ€œmagic-spoonโ€ approach to facilitate students to appreciate the Italian ingredients. "Private Dinner bookings" are by appointment only; at carefully selected venues in Bangsar or in Kuala Lumpur. 1-week advance booking and minimum 5 pax. Sometimes we may have some special unique ingredients which may cost from RM220+ per pax. Do inquire with us if you are interested. The dinner is not all about food alone. Our recent students attended two of our classes and later shared that the Chocolate Salame and the Italian Rice Salad were equally enjoyable (testimonial attached ๐Ÿ˜Š).

It reminded me of something I have always loved about Italian cooking: there is often a quiet wisdom behind seemingly simple dishes. The Italian Rice Salad may look humble, yet it is one of those dishes that surprises people with how satisfying and enjoyable it can be.

Made from cornmeal, polenta is a humble, simple comfort food. Traditionally known as the poor peopleโ€™s food in the northern parts of Italy, it fills you up quickly and beautifully absorbs all the rich flavours of a good sauce.

Did you know pumpkins usually need to โ€œrestโ€ for a while after harvest? This helps the flesh become drier, sweeter, and more flavourful ๐Ÿ˜‹

Since it was actually harvested quite young, the seeds were still not fully formed yet ๐Ÿ˜„
But wowโ€ฆ after simply roasting it with a little salt & pepper and olive oilโ€ฆ it turned out SUPER sweet! And we can eat the skin too ๐Ÿงก

I tried an online โ€œmayoโ€ recipe using egg yolk, oil, flour, milk and lemon juice โ€” cooked in a pan. The result? Quite disappointing ๐Ÿ˜… Too sweetโ€“sour, not savory, and slightly grainy โ€” nothing like real mayonnaise.

Instead of wasting it, I mixed in some leftover green pesto ๐ŸŒฟ plus a pinch of salt. Big improvement! More savory, more aroma, more depth.

Steamed some potatoes ๐Ÿฅ” to test โ€” and it actually worked very nicely.

Kitchen experiments donโ€™t always succeed โ€” but sometimes they can still be rescued โœจ
