Japanese Peruvian cuisine is really uncommon here, famous one we know is Nobu & it's usually associated to atas dining.Thankfully, this eatery was established early this year & is wallet friendly. It's well known for the Seafood Shirashizushi,it was very instagrammable & viral.

Parking is not plenty, there are public car park but you can always park at AEON Big as well. You won't miss this, just right above Baskin Robbins.Staff is friendly & good with recommendations.Tip,ginger can be provided upon request.

Nikkei Salmon Mango : This is a good palate opener, mango gives a fresh exciting taste, thick juicy salmon,& fun popping sensation the ikura!

Ikejime Surtidas : Killing fish via humane method, this dish consists of siakap, red snapper & malabar fish from their Penang farm. It's my first time feasting on local sashimi & quality is good. They don't have strong taste like salmon/tuna,pretty light yet distinct.

Otoro Sushi : Really love this,we just had otoro from Sakanaya Umihiko which was also awesome, but this had more umami. They don't skimp on the caviar,oh yes!

Tuna Satay : If I ate this blindfolded,I would have thought this is chicken satay. This was well prepared & felt so authentically satay, good marination.

Norwegian Halibut : Nobu is known for its miso black cod,& this dish is a reminisce of it.Texture of halibut is so comforting to the mouth, miso sauce is light enough, must order this!

Garlic Fried Rice : I was very upset with this one as I had some expectation, I'd say not enough garlic, aroma wasn't strong too.

Graham Cake : We ended with this and it's a delight. The cream cheese is light, crackers airy & fruits mild on sweetness.

They have many exciting dishes that we've yet to try,the mocktails are worth trying too!

This cafe is breathing new life to the historical Hock Bee landmark, located at Jalan Besar. This street is busy during the day & parking may be a challenge to find, thankfully they have 4 dedicated parking bays in front of the cafe which you can call to reserve. Ambience is great, cafe is super spacious, good for group gatherings & events. There are also places to sit upstairs that's more private.

You won't miss this 5 storey building, the huge Hock Bee Bros signage is still there, located opposite of MUKA Coffee.Great to see that some parts of the establishment have been maintained such as the flooring, nostalgic. Plethora of choices for food, all western.

The aglio olio is unique,it's salty but not your typical salted egg yolk salty,it's salted fish & it's mui heong! It's spicier though. If you can't take the heat, it's best to tell them. This is a must try dish, taste nice, curry leaves are aromatic, fish is small enough, just chomp 'em whole,no need to worry about bones.Description said there's ham but we didn't see it.

The mint lamb shoulder was quite nice, pricing reasonable also.Meat isn't dry but I prefer it to be more juicy, sauce is ok,vegetables sauteed fine.Nothing to shout about the mash potato.

Signature lazy bone beef rib was their star dish, but I beg to differ. You get the rough pulled meat texture as expected but it isn't juicy as stated. The sauce was quite upsetting too,it feels like HP sauce rather than rosemary brown sauce, the sauce on the mint lamb shoulder was better.I hope they can improve this.

We had burnt cheesecake for dessert, sweetness just nice. You get the familiar rougher texture from a burnt cheesecake, this is nice. I tasted honey at the bottom and I like it. There's really a lot to try and I believe it's worth visiting a few more times. The pastries look appetising, certainly a next time!

There's a lot of eateries here & this establishment has been in my list for quite some time. What actually caught my attention were the ingredients used for the pizza, many of them DOP certified, meaning they came all the way from Italy, authentic with good quality & reputation.Although I know this certification would mean that it'll be pricey, but hey, it's still cheaper than going all the way to Italy to taste Italian food right?

This shop is easy to spot,Hotel Stripes is behind this shop,it's hard to miss the hotel's design. It's also opposite Osteria Gamberoni. Parking is not difficult, you can park behind The Row,paid parking. We were lucky enough to spot a public parking nearby by the side alley of some shops.Arrived here at 6pm,luckily there was a table for us indoor otherwise it's full for the day.I highly advise you call to make a reservation before coming.

The place isn't really spacious, overall it's clean and cosy.Hosting for a big group of 10 or more is still possible, the entire long sofa opposite counter will be occupied.Staffs weren't too attentive but at least they were able to explain when we asked some questions for recommendations.Did QR order,it's the norm now.

While waiting,we sipped the brand new San Pellegrino Grapefruit flavored drink,it's nice! They don't sell filtered water here. The wait wasn't long, place was fully booked, waited about 15-20 minutes & our order arrived.Pizza wasn't sliced, & it's the Italian way!I kid you not,the ingredients were really good, you certainly get what you pay for,& it's not easy to find high end pizza like this.Portion ok,taste was pretty immense for the parma, but overall as a pizza,it's not heavy. It's aromatic and the cheese isn't overpowering.I really loved the tomato,it's mild yet so delicate!

Overall,it's pretty satisfying a meal & we don't often come across eateries serving ingredients like these, taste will not be dissapointing, worth a try!

5) Half Boiled Egg RM3
6) Cham Ice RM3.80

More cafes are opening along this street, happening and great for cafe hoppers. Back in the days, locals know this street to buy preserved seafood. This kopitiam has no signage yet and I'm not sure if there will be one. It's not hard to locate, it's a corner shop, opposite to Chen Hing Salted Fish shop, near to Kuantan Pickers Cafe and Megaview Hotel. Also, it's just next to the recently opened Muka Cafe.

Parking is convenient although limited, it's pretty busy here so it's a matter of luck. 3 entries, mainly in the front, the side and back too. This quaint kopitiam is long thanks to the old layout of past shophouses spanning to 120 feet. Developed in 1940s, hence the name of this establishment. Internally, structures are maintained and renovation is done nicely, minimalistic. No AC here, it's quite comfortable here with the front wide open, good ventilation.

To the nitty gritty, food is pretty simple with limited choices of food to order at the moment (full menu may be up in the future, check their FB). The nasi lemak is not the most aromatic, but we truly enjoyed the crispy ikan bilis, confirm fresh! Sambal also quite good, a bit on the spicier side, nice. Squid and kaya were not available when we ordered nasi lemak sotong and roti bun kaya, could be very sellable. Price is a litle high especially Milo. Roti bun peanut butter special was upsetting, we didn't experience anything special, just peanut butter bun w peanut crumbs, really? Peanut butter was not applied generously, really dry and couldn't taste much. We thought the Cham drink would be 'kow' and packing a flavorful punch, it would be great if it did.

Serving was a little slow when the venue is not packed yet. While new, there's surely space to make improvements and we hope to come again when menu is more extensive.
