Throwback lunch at Tastynity at Jalan Song. Your so called "economy rice". These days, this kind of food is no longer economical. All these were about RM27, not inclusive of drinks. These foods are for 3 pax.

I ate the spicy sour potato (RM3.90, the portion was as "big" as my very-small knuckle 🤣) and some rice and sides from both plates. Imagine if I order a plate of rice with those sides for myself. It would cost even more. Maybe another RM12. I didn't order one for myself because I'm not a fan of such rice. I'll only get one if I have no choice.

Easy egg-in-a-hole for breakfast.

It was not planned. It's last minute. It's my first time making this too. If you have a thick slice of bread, you just have to press the middle part down. You don't need 2 slices of bread unless you want a very thick toast. My bread is too thin so I'm using 2 slices.

Heat the pan on low heat. Cook the bread with a bit of water. The steam will help in cooking. Cover the pan for 3-4 minutes. That's all, once the egg white turns white, it's cooked. If you want runny yolk, then reduce the cooking time.

Serve it with your favourite sauce. I have mine with soy sauce. You can have it with chilli sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, and more.

So... I decided to do this to the Mini Anya Hindmarch Universal Bag as I don't want it to be wide open and risking having my things falling out.

Quick and easy fix. Just add self-adhesive Velcro aka hook-and-loop fastener on it.

Anyway, just a quick update. I'm so tired... Really tired with all these telcos issues. First from Unifi Mobile, now from Optus. Argh...

Worst comes to the worst, I'll lose my OZ number which I've been using since 2011.

As for Unifi Mobile, I'll let MCMC do their thing. So tired dealing with them for months just to terminate a number.

So... One is trying my best to keep the number while another one is trying hard to lose the number.

All these while I thought this is made in Malaysia or Thailand. Apparently, this one is made in Poland. Maybe there's locally made one but I got the imported one.

Anyway, not bad but the more you eat, the sweeter it gets. You'll have chocolate milk after eating the cereal.

Tried it. I don't think I'll repurchase because it's too sweet.

It's the 19th day of Kuching Festival 2026. Went there for the 6th time? I lost count hahah! Aiyoo... Who says RM50 cannot eat till full here?!

All these could feed 4-5 pax! RM50 or less!

It's been a long while since I've dined at Old Rex Cucur Udang Cafe. We went there at around 2pm. Late lunch after the visit to Sarawak Science Centre.

Had white lady (RM4, I think), cha kueh (RM6, not bad, I like the taste), belacan beehoon (RM8, I think, a bit diluted), mixed cucur (RM13+, it depends on what you have), nasi goreng dabai (RM8, nice but very salty yet I kept ordering this when I'm here hahaha).

Aside from the cucur, what do you usually ordered?

The Gastronomy Pavilion is open. Apparently, it's only until 9th August. It's not until the last day of the Kuching festival.

If you're a tuak fan, it's worth the visit. It's more like a tuak pavilion instead of gastronomy. You'll find many tuak varieties there. There's free tasting for sure... So, go taste all you want.

There are some food stalls from other countries but it's not as many as I expected.

You can get the cheapest ice cream here from Mixue 🤣 RM2, no price increment like the other brand. However, only one flavour is available.

We had a quick visit to the festival, bought 2 pieces of nan ru fried chicken wings (RM8) and left. It started to rain. That's why. Luckily we managed to get into our car before it poured.

Anyway, it's already packed at 4.30pm.

How time flies?!? It's ending on 16 Aug.

Went to Sarawak Science Centre yesterday. Posted the reel last night. Here's the photo dump.
We spent 2 1/2 hours in there! In fact, didn't really cover everything in detail. Did skip a few showcases at the end as it's late and we had not eaten lunch!

Only 2 floors opened for the public. Initially, we thought maybe 1 hour plus was enough. It's not!

So, do plan enough time for it. No restaurant there but there's one food truck outside.

Free entry until 31 Dec 2026. Better go as soon as you can to enjoy the free entry perk.

Really worth going. However, do keep an eye on your children. It can be quite dangerous there. Certain showcases are really not suitable for children. Adults supervision is crucial!

Even as an adult, you have to be careful too. Do pay attention to your surroundings and interact with the showcases with care.
