You don’t have to cook or baking complicated masterpieces- just good food from fresh ingredients 😙

Try make your own batik cake now❗️

Directions:

1. Crush biscuits into quarters (optional). Set aside.

2. Prepare a cake pan (round, loaf, square – up to you) by lining it with foil or parchment paper and grease well with cooking spray or butter. I used a 35cm x 9cm loaf pan for this.

3. In a medium large pot or wok, gently melt butter on medium heat.

4.Mix in condensed milk and chocolate malt powder. Stir till combined.

5.Add in eggs and stir continuously on medium to medium high till it thickens to the consistency of hot fudge.

6. Once it has thickened, add in vanilla extract. Stir to mix.

7 .Stir in biscuits is using it crushed. Pour into cane pan and flatten the top.

8. Leave cake to cool for an hour then cover and refrigerate overnight.

Food so good, it’s worth the calories plurge!

Try to make your own sweetness!!🤗

Direction:

1. Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and salt together in a stand mixer on medium for 2-3 minutes, until smooth and silky. Then, add the eggs one by one while the mixer is on low, and let it incorporate. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to make sure everything is evenly mixed.Heat your oven to 250°C.

2. Pour the cake batter into the lined cake tin. Give it a few gentle taps release any large air bubbles. Then, bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top of the cake is brown and charred at parts, but the center is still noticeably jiggly.

3. When done baking, let the cake cool in its tin on a wire rack until it reaches room temperature. Then, put it in the refrigerator to cool for at least another 2 hours.

BURNT CHEESECAKE BREAKED ON TOP, WHY⁉️

Even though this cake only uses 6 ingredients, mix + bake in less than an hour and it's ready, we easily make this mistake:

- The cake is broken on top
- The cake is 'burnt' but bitter
- The cake is not cooked properly inside
- Too strong egg-flavored cake
- Wet, slimy & sticky cake

One of the reasons is the method of combustion. To get the above baked effect, a much hotter temperature is used to bake this cake which is at a temperature of 230-250 Celsius (not Farenheight you know)

But the mistake of many people, is being too confident with the oven & not monitoring the cake.

Sometimes we set 230C, maybe due to the size of the oven/if there is a fan or not/use another baking setting. Our cake results are different from others who use different ovens

The important thing is, don't be complacent & leave our cake. For this quick-baking cake, check every 8-10 minutes. Especially close to cooking.

The Origin of Kek Batik that you need to know!☺️

Kek batik is a type of Malaysian no-bake fridge cake dessert inspired by the tiffin brought in the country by the British during the colonial era, and adapted with Malaysian ingredients.

This cake is made by mixing broken marie biscuits combined with a chocolate sauce or runny custard made with egg, butter/margarine, condensed milk, milo ,and cocoa powder.

Batik Cake or better known locally with its Malay name Kek Batik, is a very popular cake among Malaysians, especially East Malaysia. It is believed that this cake originated from Sarawak but is extremely popular in its neighbouring state, Sabah, as well. Our research has shown that this cake is a must-have for many families in East Malaysia during Hari Raya celebrations.
