From the freshness of Bourgogne Blanc 2021, through Volnay 2021, and into the distinct personalities of Champans, Fremiets and Taillepieds 2021 — tonight was all about discovering how the same producer can translate different parcels into completely different expressions.

The Isle of Arran sits between the Scottish mainland and the Kintyre peninsula in the Firth of Clyde. It is sometimes called “Scotland in miniature” because the island has mountains, coastline, forests and farmland packed into a relatively small area.

What makes Arran particularly interesting for whisky is its water and geography. Lochranza Distillery, where Arran Single Malt is produced, is located in the north of the island, close to Loch na Davie. The distillery selected the location largely because of the quality of its water source.

Fresh, fruity and effortlessly approachable. 🍏🍊
Expect citrus, green apple, honey, vanilla and gentle cinnamon spice, with a soft, nutty finish.

The Sadie Family Palladius comes from 11 varieties from 17 different vineyards where the soils have granite, gravel and sandstone formations. These strains are aged between 6 and 85 years old with a limited yield of 18-22 hl / ha to extract maximum expression of the terroir. When the grape reaches optimum ripeness, it is harvested manually.

A white wine with refined aromas of tropical fruit and stone fruit and saline and mineral touches. On the palate it is medium-bodied, somewhat unctuous and with a notable acidity. The finish is pleasant, generous and lasting.
