“I have been a Grab delivery-partner for almost four years. In the beginning, I was only driving part time, but when the pandemic hit, I switched to full-time as it was my only means of earning an income.
You see, I used to work as a masseuse. In 2016, I chose to work freelance. The thought of working for others just did not excite me anymore. I also wanted flexible hours so I could have more time with my family. My younger sibling is still in school, and I also wanted to help my mother with her business.
I started my own delivery service, running errands for people, helping them do dispatch work and the like. Not long after, I joined GrabFood.
On top of the flexible working time, Grab has many benefits for their delivery-partners. We get special promotions on things like petrol, tyres, academic courses and, and even bike upgrades. These incentives motivate us to do better. It’s worth checking out your benefits, and how you can do more jobs to be eligible for more benefits!
Another thing I love is the ladies Grab delivery-partners community. We have over 100 in this group, aged between 20 to 48. I believe that ladies can do any job, so my main mission is to unite all female riders and show the world that we are equally as strong as men.”
