Ube halaya is a famous sweet dessert from the Philippines 🇵🇭made from boiled and mashed purple yam cooked in condensed milk, evaporated milk and butter. It is thick, creamy, and usually has a dark purple color. People eat it on its own, chill it, or use it as a base for halo-halo and ice cream. Many also use it as a base flavor to create various other desserts. 🥰
